Lucie studied opera singing at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (JAMU) with Anna Barová. During her studies she sang several main roles at the chamber opera and later she became a guest artist in the National Theatre in Brno. She obtained further education on a study visit to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, as well as during an internship in Zürich and on a study stay at Anton Bruckner Private University for Music, Drama, and Dance in Linz. She participated and extended her singing experience on many international interpretation courses – in England, Germany, Austria, France and also in the Czech Republic. Currently she is a PhD-student at the JAMU. She is the first prize winner of the International competition of Leoš Janáček where she also won a prize for the best interpretation of the Czech contemporary music. Other significant awards include the first prize for the interpretation of Leoš Janáček’s works on the International Summer Academy Prague-Vienna-Budapest. She regularly performs contemporary music at various national and international festivals (Moravian Autumn, Setkávání Nové hudby Plus – International festival of contemporary music, Forfest, Festival Muzyki Nowej and others). She also performs baroque music as a soloist of the Baroque Blond Ensemble and in cooperation with Musica Florea.
Laureate of international competitions. She has been playing the piano since 5 years of age. After graduating in piano at the Church Conservatory in Kroměříž, she studied composition at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (JAMU) with Ivo Medek and graduated in 2010. Nowadays she is a master degree student of piano at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) with Ivo Kahánek and at the Dresden University of Music Carl Maria von Weber with Arkadi Zenzipér. She was awarded many prizes from both national and international competitions. She is a well-established performer of contemporary music. Among her notable performances are those in Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In 2009, she made several solo and chamber appearances on the grounds of the renowned California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles. She attended international master classes under the leadership of Elisso Virsaladze, Avo Kouyumjian, Frederic Lagarde and others. She cooperates with top Czech soloists and ensembles of the upcoming generation of artists (Veronika Böhmová, Fortyfingers, Ensemble Marijan and others). She regularly performs as a soloist with famous orchestras of both Czech and international acclaim (Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Olomouc, Academic Chamber Soloists, Moscow Contemporary Ensemble, Janacek Academic Orchestra and others).
Jana studies flute with Jiří Válek at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She first studied at the Brno Conservatory with Božena Růžičková, where she won a Leoš Janáček Foundation Scholarship as the best graduate and studied then for one year with Zoltán Gyöngyössy at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Afterwards she continued her music education at a number of master classes (with Jean Claude Gérard, Carine Levine, Clara Novak, Susan Milan, Felix Renggli and with many others).
She was awarded several major prizes at national and international music competitions such as (Concorso Internazionale Di Musica “Pietro Argento”, Italy – Gioia del Colle 2007, 2008; Anglo-Czechoslovak Trust, London 2006; Competition of conservatories in the category of wind instruments, Ostrava 2003). As a soloist she appeared for example with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, further with the Czech Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Moravian Chamber Orchestra and with the Slovak Chamber Orchestra Bohdan Warchal. She has been working as a flutist at the Brno Philharmonic since February 2009.
